“Guilty“
‘It’s been nearly three months since the cataclysmic disaster striked, That a giant dragon attacked Stormwind City and killed honderds of people... Destroyed the whole park... I was there but I coudnt stop it... Thinking back I think that we didnt stand a chance, The beast was covered in dark iron plates, His jaw massive steal... He could have easily wiped the whole city out... But instead he only blew up the park before flying of again, Off to strike new places and towns, of to destroy lives of millions of people... Pherhaps he would blow up Orgimar, That would be a nice thing... But the same chance he will blow up Darnassus... And it’s only duo the king of ironforge that that city didnt collapse... And it’s been nearly two months since the Shields disbandoned.... However i’ve met more troubled situations then a big dragon killing thousands of people... My lovely wife Kainna Darkbane... Is gone... Pherhaps murdered or killed... Missing for nearly two months now, How I miss her bossy behaviour and lovely hair... It will be such a pain to raise a kid on my own... Pherhaps I should make him a Orphan... No, I would never allow Simon to become a Orphan. Pherhaps it’s best i give up trying to search for my wife... After two months traveling all over Azeroth I still didnt find anyone... Not a clue... I’ve been nearly everywhere... Invaded horde city’s in hope to find her there, But all I found was a bunch of angry hordes... Nowhere... I think it’s time to accept that my wife died. Pherhaps it’s better like that, I can continue on living and think about raising Simon on my own, And seeing the Blazing Shield disbandoned... I have to find new work aswell, Pherhaps bartender at the Pig and Whistle... Would be crap work instead of keeping the city safe, But I would have to think about Simon. I will have to create a funeral for kainna... Pherhaps here at the graveyard of all the victims that died in the cataclysm as people now call it.’
“Excuse me sir, Are you... Marijn Darkbane?” I looked up just being pulled out my thaughts and frowned. “Uhmm, Yes that’s me... Can i help you?” The man was dressed in a Leather armor, straps on his shoulder binding a cape to the pathetic presentation. He reached into his bag and grabbed out a letter. “This is for you then, No idea where it’s from.” I took the letter and peered at it curiously, The letter was sealed with a small red sign. “Thank you.” I said as I looked up before noticing the man infront of me already left. I shruged slightly and opened the letter before taking out a small paper and folding it out. I slowly read it as my eyes widened, Without reasalising it I sat there on the bench with a open mouth abserving what information the letter held.
“Guilty. - The only word I can find that fits a man like yourself. You’ve destroyed what i once build up from nothing, you have taken away. For what? Love? Family? Tell me, is it justified to destroy someon’s life for your own benefit? Your own greed? Either way, what you lost I have hidden. I expect you the cry is sorrow and ignorance, expect you to run around searching what can’t be found. Your woman is gone, I will destroy your life, as you destroyed hers. It will make us equel. - DMC.” I slowly stood up and frowned.
Two days later I saw at the Cathedral Square. ‘Hmm, How to trace the one that got her... And ho-’. “Excuse me sir, Are you Marijn Silverstorm?” I frowned and looked up. Two men dressed as guards, What did I do... “Yes, I am... Can I help you?” He smirked under his helmet “You most certainly can, Come with us please.” I sighed slightly and stood up. “I really dont have the time for this guard, Cant you do this later?” He shook his head “Nope, Come with us.” I sighed again as he started moving towards the western exit, Once under the gates one of them took of his helmet. “I though i reconsided your voice Khendran, And you also brought Helrog...” He nodded slightly. “Yes, We are here regarding to a letter we both received, And even Eloresh received one. It tells us about some woman that is missing and that we should find you.” I nodded slightly “I received a letter aswell, It’s kainna... She went missing a long time ago... And now I finnaly got a clue... Could you show me that letter?” Khendran nodded slightly and rumbled trough his bag grabbing out a letter before opening and handing it over. I peered at the ltter as it said “Never have we not, nor ever hearing of each others names. Never have we passed by each other on the street or heard each others voices in a bar. However, our future is connected. This trough the torment of a woman you might know well. I know her too, and for now I hold her far away from society as you have come to know it. Find “Marijn Silverstorm” and you’ll discover that you too have joined a game of my liking. - DMC.” Khendran sighed and said “Hmm, At any point, Let us head to Eloresh to coninue this matter.”
“I’ll be tearing them to pieces“
Eloresh frowned at our arrival before saying “Give me a quick briefing, would you.” Khendran smirked and reply’d “News are that we’ve no news. And the guest is Marijn Silvestorm, as you can see.” I peered at Eloresh as he peered to Helrog, giving him a quick nod of respect, then to Me, doing the same. Helrog moved his hand to his head and gave quick salute to Eloresh. Eloresh sighed “No news... good news? So, What do we know about this DMC, or who ever he is.” Helrog removes his helmet and ties it to his belt. I shruged, “Nothing, That’s the thing. Not a clue.” Khendren nodded slightly “All we know is that whoever kidnapped Kainna, has known her for a while.” Helrog draws his right hand slowly through his short hair.
I fronwed at Helrog and said “Aye, Earlier then me, Probably from her past.” Eloresh taps his chin, Clearly thinking hard. Khendran simply added “And holds a grudge for Marijn because he ‘took her away’. In common, married her.”Eloresh frowned and peered at me “Are you sure of that? That the man who took her knows er for long?” Before i could say anything Khendran nodded and said “Quite. The letter Marijn got, states he ‘built her’”.Eloresh sighed “That reduces the search... well... Pretty much to only two names.” Khendran frowned “And they are?” Eloresh reply’d “Two names I am aware of. Garodin Silversmith, and Marticore Verlance. Both of them were Kainna’s personal trainers years ago. I’ve known this from my own cousin, Garodin, and by Kainna as well.” Khendran disrupted Eloresh and said “Wait, wait, wait. Marticore?” I nodded slightly “Aye, I beleive i’ve met that Marticore once, At the Pig and whistle... He seemed like a strange fellow.” Eloresh nodded slightly “Yes, that damn rat... Him and Garodin trained Kainna in what she is now.” Khendran nodded slightly “I knew Marticore trained her, but Kainna never told me what happened to him.” Eloresh sighed “Well, I could... pretty much answer to that. On a campaign we had some long months ago, at the Blasted Lands, we came across some group of cultists of the Dark Sphere, Verlance amongst them. We captured him, and some others. Got him ... well, answer some questions about the situation of several of our men, taken by theirs. After that, he was left heavily injured after he failed to escape an explosion. I heard from about him some months later, that he survived, but nothing else.”
“Hmm. What of this Garodin figure, then? Do you know anything about him?” Eloresh frowns “Well.... Sadly, no. He has been tagged as -lost in combat- some weeks ago... On an incursion to gather some intel in Silverpine.” Khendran sighed “Mhm... I doubt he could’ve made it down south on his own, especially if he was wounded.” I noddes slightly “Hmm, I guess that leaves us with one suspect. Khendran nods a few times. Eloresh frowned “I could not imagine Garodin doing something like that, yet again, I have heard some... well... terrible things about him. But none like this one... I will try to figure if the signature is related with any of the names I know Marticore as.” Khendran nodded slightly again “Mhm. Even if it is Marticore, it still leaves us with a problem.” Khendran pauses for a few seconds before continueing “We have no idea where he is hiding, or what he’ll do to Kainna if we start searching for her.” Eloresh sighs and says “Well... I am afraid that we are all in his game, and knowing that man... I think we are going to have to play it... He will eventually make us find him, or even come directly to us. We will have to keep our eyes wide open to not fall directly into his trap.” Khendran frowns “Directly? He wouldn’t dare.” Eloresh nods slightly “No, of course not. He will not face us directly knowing we outnumber him. He will try to do something to each one of us, one by one perhaps, until he has us where he wants.” Khendran frowns “Hmm. Like a game of chess. He wants the pawns to move aside so he can strike at the king...” Eloresh nods slightly “I am sure both of you have been in quite a situation like this one before... Just keep the eyes open, and share the information with the rest. I am sure each one of us has a piece of the puzzle, but none of us knows it, or still has not come to notice it. Anyway... Silverstorm, what will you be doing now?” I scratched the back of my helmet “Right... I guess i’ll be heading back to Stormwind. Pherhaps i’ll go around Darkshire, I beleive he’s been sighted around there some times.”Eloresh nods slightly “Where can we contact you there, inmediately, if needed?” I frowned “Hmm, I guess the cathedral.” Eloresh scratches his chin “Yes, it was part of what he said, we had to meet with you. The bastard must be waiting for this to happend to make his next move. He wants us ready for what ever he wants to throw us in.” Khendran sighs “Hope he won’t throw a bunch of his cultist friends at us...” After his sentence he grunts slightly. Eloresh smiles “I would love to see them coming, wouldn’t you? A sly smirk spreads across Eloresh’s face as he says it. I sighed slightly before looking up without my casual smile but a serieus face “It wont matter even if he does... I will not even give them a chance to do anything, becouse before they can i’ll be tearing them to pieces... And him, If i get the chance.”
“Thank you for coming“
I peered around the town, A few of the night guards walking around in the rain. I felt the rain pouring down onto me and into all the shafts and small opening of my armor. My plate armor was soakes in water a small layer of water in my boots. The water driped of the gray with yellow shoulderpads, The blue gems on the armor were shining brightly in the evening darkness of Duskwood. I took of my armor and walked into the bar. Once in the bar I could feel the eyes staring me down by I ingored it, I took my place on one of the table and place the large sword and shield next to me. I peered trough the bar, Drunk man hitting on the bar maids and a few people sitting next to the fire, There was one girl sitting in the corner alone in the darkness, Her face hidden underneath her cap. I smirked slightly and mumbled “So... She did come.” I stoof up from my chair and barched to the dark corner my armor making the floor crack underneath me as people stared at the large in gray-yellow plated man. I sat down at the girls table and smiled faintly. “Thank you for coming, I know your risking alot here...” the woman infront of me nodded slightly underneath the dark cap covering her face. “Dont worry about it, Let’s just make this quick... I saw him and a girl sitting at a table, They were talking about going to the Menethil harbour in the Wetlands... They will most likely take the boat towards the Theremore isle.” I nodded slightly and placed a small bag with 20 gold pieces on the table. “It’s very appreciated.” I stood up as the girl greedyly jumped onto the small bag with gold pieces totally losing her mysterious cover. I walked back to the other table and grabbed my sword and shield and placed the shield on the holder on my back before equiping the sword into it’s sheet on my belt. I walked out the door and placed my helmet back on and looked up to the dark sky. It now even rained harder then before and I felt the rain dripping trough the eye holes and opening at my mouth, The rain started to drip trough other openings. I stared upwards to the sky for a short moment before letting out a wide smile on my face. “Im coming for you... Kainna...”
I stumbled from the boat and sighed slightly adjusting the plate pieces of my armor. I looked around and saw the dock leading to the town covered by enormous walls. I started moving towards the town ans looked around, Here and there a drunk man sitting on the dock. The wood underneath my feet cracked and as I walked by the drunken people stared at me. I smirked slighty to myself thinking ‘Everywhere it’s the same’. I walked of the docks as a group of theremore guards stopped me “Buisness?” I lifted my helmet and peered at the guards, Obvioudly the man who asked me the question was no higher then a Corporal and the rest were just rookies “Im here to meet with a friend...” The guard frowned and asked “Then why all the plate for seeing a friend?” I sighed slightly “Does it matter what I wear, Im here to see a friend not a bunch of guards, Now if you’ll excuse me...” I walked past the guards and smirked slighty, I was like that once... I looked to the large tower in the middle of the town before turning right, Time to ask some questions at the bar.
It’s been already two weeks of useless questioning, Mindless fools and workers spilling their minds to me, It’s like a damn talk wall.... Yet even thou all the useless story’s I managed to pick up a nice conversation... Wich led to some fine ansers, Apparently a worker near the gates saw a young couple walk down the coast, A young woman with red hair and a shady man. It kind of fits the description of that creep with my wife... Im still wondering why Kainna went willingly with him... I looked up to the sky once again, Dark clouds covering the afternoon sky, It would most likely start to rain or even thunder soon. I ignored the weather and walked out the giant gate leading north, Once outside the gates I walked over the bridge and walked down the slope near the coast, Not likely that I would find anything but it was worth a shot. It’s been such a long time since I last smelled her hair or touched her body... Once I find the freak who did this to her I will make him pay...
It started to storm hard, The rain started to freeze slightly as it started to hail, The giant hail blocks bashed into my armor making loud noices, The waves started to cover my feet, Taking away nearly the whole coasts, Not that it was big anyway, Pherhaps 5 meters wide, But still wide enough to walk on. I sighed slightly and mumbled something unheareble duo a hard bang of thunder. After a twenty minute walk in the hail and thunder I decided pherhaps it would be best to go back, I peered at the ground wich was now covered in a small layer of water, Yet in the water I could make up a shiny object, I moved my hand into the water and grabbed the object togheter with a bunch of sand, I wiped the sand away with one hand and peered at the object... It was kainna’s ruby necklace!
“We’re going home“
My gryphon flew trough the hail and thunder, I peered down to the large island, “Naga’s...” I looked around and saw multiple giant tree’s. Nowhere to land... Except that... dock? I shruged slightly as i landed my gryphon onto the wooden dock, The hail maked loud noices as they crashed onto the wood. I tied my gryphon to one of the wooden poles and started moving. One of the naga’s spotted me and charged to me with her polearm held high, I quickly drew my sword and shield and charged the nage, The nage send her polearm down, I doged it by dashing to the side and slicing my sword right trough her back. The nage let out a loud cry as I pulled my sword out. I looked back to the opening into the small camp made out of wood, Two large walls with spikes, United by a small wooden gate infront of it two naga’s, One of the naga’s came out the camp and charged me, This one had a small sword and shield. I again charged the beast but as the naga send out it’s sword a blocked it with my shield and bashed my sword up to his arm, The beast cry’d out as his arm fell down on the ground, I looked back up to the naga towering over me with a frightend look on his face. I large smile covered my face as I stabbed my sword into his chest. The beast let out a final yell and fell lifeless to the ground. I wiped some blood and water from my helmet and looked to the opening. The two naga’s let out a loud battle cry as they slith towards me, Their skin was shiny and soaked in water, It stopped hailing and it was raining now. I dashed to the side around one of the naga’s before charging in, Once the naga finally turned around I already made my move, I bashed my sword upwards into the large chin and skull. The nage instantly died and fell onto the ground with a sick smack. I looked to the other naga as he moved back abit saying “W-Who are you?” I smiled as blood dripped down my helmet over my face. “I am the man who will let you regret the day you were born.”
I pulled my sword out the dead naga guard and wiped the blood of it. I moved trough the gate and sheethed my sword. I looked around the place and saw two small houses and a path leading under the ground. I walked down the path leading underground and peered around, A dark place, only the slightest bit of light. I walked into the dungeon deeped and saw a cell door, I softly mumbled “bingo” I peered at the gate as it was quite rusted, A small layer of water covered the whole ground of the cell and the wall leading to it, To the left of the cell was a large pool of water. I charged the door with my shoulder first as after the first try the door broke down and i stumbled into the cell, I quickly looked around and frowned... Nobody... I walked back out the gate and peered into the pool to the left, Pherhaps it led somewhere...
I pulled of the gray plate pieces and layed them into the layer of water, Luckily I still had the dark cloths i worn underneath it, I took a deep breath and dived into the water, My vision got blurrier and blurrier untill I saw nothing anymore, My vision was dark as I reached the surface and slowly regained my breath, I stumbled out the water and looked around, Nothing but darkness. I sighed slightly and held up my hand, As I breathed out a faint glow apeared around my hand. I closed my eyes slightly getting used to the faint light. Once my eyes adjusted I peered around. A dead end but to the left a gate, Most likely leading to a cell. I peered inside, But it was far to dark to see anything. I looked at the gate and as expected the gate was just as rusty as the other one. I charged the gate with shoulder first as a loud bang could be heard, I walked back and charged the gate again this time the gate broke on the top and fell down onto the ground splashing water everywhere, even here the ground was covered with a small layer of water. I breathed in heavily as the light around my hand shined brighter. I peered around the cell and spotted in the corner body laying in the water. My eyes widend as I quickly placed myself next to her. Was i to late to save her, After two months of endless searching... Kainna let out a small moan. She was still alive! A small tear ran down my cheeck as I picked up kainna’s nearly lifeless body. I walked towards the water with kainna and soflty said “Take a deep breath oke?” I heard kainna take a small breath and dived into the water.
A few moments later I walked out the dungeon into the light, It stopped raining... Kainna moaned as the light breached her eyes. I smiled slightly walking the almost naked kainna out the camp. I placed her on Becky and unclipped my cape before laying it over her exposed body. I jumped onto Becky aswell and peered at Kainna, She was skinny to the bones and her skin pale as milk. “Take off becky, We’re going home.”
‘It’s been nearly three months since the cataclysmic disaster striked, That a giant dragon attacked Stormwind City and killed honderds of people... Destroyed the whole park...
