Since I can't remember any real events, I decided I will make them on my own, Here is eight of the series. The characters are inspired on you... But well, the events here never happened. Enjoy!
Tales of the Stormwind Regiment
“Right, what the fuck was that guys...” Ilyanain said this time. Samantha shrugged slightly while staring at the barricaded door. “It kind of looked like scourge... Forsakaen... Ahh I don’t know!” The group peered at the other doors. “Should we really be here, what if miss Silversong isn’t here?” Blaire said. “The flare came from here, if she ain’t here we don’t have a clue...” Cadeamus added. Marijn wrote something down and handed it over to Ilyanain. ‘I’ll check the woman barracks, give me cover’ it said. Ilyanain shook his head “Have you lost you’re mind?” Marijn slowly walked to the other door and gulped. While he acted tough he was infact nearly frozen in fear, the last thing he wanted to do was open that door. He finally gathered enough courage to grab the handle of the door. He looked over his shoulder to see if they were covering him and when he saw that they also had their swords ready he decided it was time to check inside. He slowly pushed open the door, he felt his heart beat faster while he glanced inside. With a sigh of relief he noticed it was only a chamber covered in dried up blood. He tapped the wall twice and gestured it was safe. Marijn walked to the chamber and quickly inspected some things. The bunkbeds were thorn to pieces, some of them completely demolished and the wood of the beds layed near the door, as if they had tried to keep something out. Besides the facts that the room was right out of a horror movie there atleast wasn’t anything alive... or dead... With a sigh he pointed out the room. “You’re right, we got to check the men’s barracks.”
This time it was Ilyanain who opened the door, a little less carefull then they had done before. The inside looked the same as the woman barracks except there leaned something against the wall on the other side of the room. Ilyanain peered at the other side before pointing at it so the group would notice it. “W-what is it?” Samantha whispered. Ilyanain shrugged, he didn’t have a clue. But if it was whatever was in the baths he didn’t want to know. The being on the otherside glanced at them, his eyes lit up with a red colour. It made a few groans before it started to walk towards one of the beds. the group glanced at the awfull looking thing, as it passed a window they could see it’s condition. It’s chest was carved open along with the fact that he missed a part of his head making it display bits of brain. Their harts nearly stopped as they heard a sound from where they had just came from. The door had opened and the thing from before dashed towards them. As they glanced at the thing Marijn bunked up his shield and prepared for a counter attack. Before they knew it the being clashed with Marijn. Violently trying to grab anything to rip off, his mouth constantly trying to bite him. Ilyanain was going to help him but felt an arm pull him into the room. Before he knew it he was inside the room he heard the door slam close behind him. From underneath the beds slowly crawled more of the beings, all evenly decayed. Ilyanain bashed his back against the door before trying to open it while peered at the beings. “GUY’S, OPEN THE DOOR!” He screamed out. From the otherside he heard a few groans and some yelling from samantha. “The door’s locked Cassel!” he prepared his sword, there was no other thing left then to fight them off.
He swallowed heavily as he peered around the room, decayed body’s slowly moving to him, their eyes glowing either blue or red. He groaned and moved away from the door towards the closest being and stabbing his sword right trough it’s side. A disgusting looking ooze dripped out the wound as the being grabbed his arm with one hand and with his other hand trying to grab his head. In instict he backed of pulling his sword out along with him. Stabbing them clearly didn’t help. He stared at his sword and found that it had rust all over it. Had it been the thing he stabbed? He once again was forced back to the door. The beings had surrounded them and slowly moved towards his doom, this was his end...
Marijn pushed the door to the basement close. They had entered to get rid of the beings who had attacked them. While they only saw one thing earlier in the bath multiple of them had come out, six or seven of them. They were forced to retreat to the basement. “We left Ilyanain!” Samantha cried out. “We got to go back for!” she added to her desprate yelling. “We can’t go back samantha...” Dorian spoke “If we had stayed we all would have...” Dorian coudn’t manage to continue. The group went down the stairs into the basement and even here they found something they rather had not. From chains on the walls hung the same beings as upstairs were. “There... Are more here...” Blaire said desprately. Marijn walked into the basement from the stairway and glance around. He turned around and grabbed his notebook. As he was writing something an rotting arm wrapped itself over his shoulder. His breath stopped for a second as he felt the disgusting breathing and graoning in his neck. He glanced at where the group had stood just now but they had all ran back up. Marijn hit the being with an elbow as he fall of him, he tried to run to the stairway but felt multiple arms wrap around his legs, sending him falling down. As he glanced at his feet he could see the beings, loosend from their chains and now crawling towards him, unatural, decayed and rotten. He glanced up the stairs and saw Samantha cast a last look at him before turning around and running away. Was this the end for him, his life ended by this decaying thing?
Dorian, Samantha and blaire ran up the stairs. Once upstairs they didn’t even bother looking around they ran straight to the stairway and bashed the door close behind them. “By the light! What is this!?” Samantha cried out before slowly falling down against the wall. She planted her face in her hands and let out a few soft sobs. Dorian groaned and fell down on his ass next to her. There were only three of them left. Blaire moved her hands trough her hair and sighed deeply. The three of them looked up as they heard hard knocks on the door. “Guys, it’s me Cadeamus, let me in please!” Blaire glanced at the other two and walked towards the door. “Please, open quickly!” Sounded outside. She opened the door and with the same few seconds she could feel a blade pierce trough her stomach. Followed by a kick in the stomach, she fell backwards, with the force of the kick, the sword went right out again. Becouse of the door blocking their view Dorian and Samantha only saw Blaire open the door, then a loud groan from her and the point of a sword sticking out and then her falling backwards. The two immediatly crawled back up. Cadeamus kicked the body of the girl away. His sword, dripping with blood and a wide grin over his face. “There you two are...” Dorian quickly moved his blade infront of him. “Why are you doing this sir!?” He screamed at him. Cadeamus only laughed a gruesome laugh in himself before placing his sword against his own throat. Samantha glanced at him, her eyes slightly red and dripping with tears. Cadeamus laughed loudly before splitting his own throat and falling unto the ground. Samantha covered her head in fear. She tried to get the image out her mind, of her friend killing himself, but it was impossible... This place, she coudn’t stand what was happening here. She felt a comfortable hand on her shoulder, she glanced up and saw instead of Dorian one of the beings. She yelped out in fear and tried to crawl back from it, but it steadily walked along with her. A long wide smile on it’s face.
Dorian frowned and stared at Samantha “Please, we got to move Samantha... We can’t stay here.” He said, his voice broken in nervousness. Samantha slowly stood up, her face looked melted, pieces of her skull were showing. Dorian backed up a few steps, not sure what was going on. He glanced around, he was terrified. He coudn’t describe how scared he really was. Was it a side effects of all the booze they had drunk earlier... Yes, that had to be it... He saw the rapidly decaying body of samantha slowly moving closer, it spoke with a low a hallow voice “D....ooor...iaaaan.” it said. He tightend the grip around his sword. “I’m sorry... I’m so.. so... sorry samantha...” He quickly pushed the sword up right trough her chin. He quickly looked away from the sight and closed it eyes before letting go of the sword. The corpse fell towards the ground. Dorian places his hands over his head and crawled up. Softly mumbeling to himself he glanced at the door. He could see how multiple body’s slowly crawled towards him, all looking like Samantha. He closed his eyes and just wished it went away as he felt multiple hands wrap around him.
Cadeamus frowned. He didn’t know where the group was, or where he was. He didn’t have the slightest clue how he even got here. The room he was in didn’t have any windows or doors, yet there was still a faint light around him. He looked around and suddenly spotted one of the beings standing behind him. He turned around and looked at it. The thing simply stared back at him. It’s skin slowly melting away from itself untill it fell to the ground. The muscles of the thing snapped on their own and it all decayed untill he could see pieces of bone trough the bloody skin. “W-What are you?” he asked. He felt a hand grab his shoulder from behind and as he turned around he saw another being far infront of him, no where remotely close enough to actually touch him. Is just stood the same way as the being who was now behind him, and it went trough the same stages, is slowly started to melt and decay on it’s own. He looked around and saw he was surounded by the beings, all undergoing the same thing. He clenched the sword in his hand “What do you want!?” he yelled to the beings. He saw how their blood slowly filled every inch of the floor, even where he was standing. Large blood covered hands emerged from the pool of blood and grabbed his leggings. He pierced his sword in the incoming hands, but eventually he could fell the beings emerging from the pool of blood around, they were dragging him into the blood slow but steadily. He whacked around him with his sword, cutting of pieces of fingers, hands arms yet all invain. The blood was rising quickly and the hands were refraining any more movement. He gasped for breath as he slowly submerged.
“Huh, I didn’t get stabbed?” Blaire grabbed her side where now a hole was in the leather. She was confused, the hole was in her leather but she herself was just fine... Maybe she was dead. She glanced around and finally made the decision she was indeed dead. There was nothing except white around her. Yet, she was still breathing, she pinched herself and it indeed hurt. She slowly rose to her feet and glanced around the nothingness. But where were the others... Where was she if she wasn’t dead? She remembered the terror she had felt only a few moments ago... What was wrong with this place... She felt a warm arm wrap around her neck from behind her, she slowly leaned against it with her head. She didn’t know what was going on anymore. The arm wiped away some hair from her face, but it didn’t bother her... Maybe it was Ilyanain... Maybe she had been found and carried to safety... Maybe she was in a hospital bed, her coporal crying over her, wishing it was him instead of her. She smiled faintly, that had to be it...
Marijn felt the hands of the dead crawl around him, even death itself was surounding him. He had no where to go, even the privates he would give his life for abondended him... In the end he didn’t even manage to save a single life, not his oldest friends, not his new friends, not his privates... He stared up at the basement cealing. He could feel the hands slowly dragging him back into the room. He even felt one of the things crawl over him and suddenly he saw it’s face. So gruesome he could hardly put it in words. He felt his heart beat faster, the fel was he doing lying around here. He started to push the things of him with brute force, he reached for his flintlock and bashed it against the side of the beings head. He could feel the rage building up inside him, they had taken his friends, his privates... They would pay for it! He pulled the trigger and with a loud bang the brains splatterd out the side. He pushed the thing of him and noticed more of the beings overpowering him, he saw the being of wich he had just blown out the brain slowly getting back up, a wide grin on it’s blackend face.
Marijn glanced around and noticed he was lying in a small tent, his tent... Had everything just been a weird and messed up dream? He quickly got up, a little to quickly, and nearly fell back down again. He opened his tent and greeted the bright sunlight on his body. He glanced around the camp and saw Irene sitting at the remains of the fire, she looked kind of down. “Irene, what’s wrong, where are the others?” Irene looked up at him. “It’s nothing, just that... I was fishing earlier... And my line snapped...” Marijn laughed shortly. “Ohh, is that all... Come i’ll help you...” Marijn sat down next to her and grabbed the thread. He slowly started to make a knot in the thread and smiled at her. “There you go Irene...” Irene leaned a little closer and placed her hand on his. “Thank you... However can I repay you?” she said. Marijn smirked and leaned a little closer himself, till they were face to face. “I can think of something...” Irene giggled softly and leaned forward, her lips ready to kiss him. He slowly planted his lips on hers and closed his eyes. He felt how the warmness of her lips slowly moved away again. He smiled and opened his eyes. Yet, there was no one sitting infront of him. There was no Irene, he slowly stood up and looked around. He could see the same beings slowly crawl out the tents towards him. Marijn fell to his knee’s, at the things slowly got closer, it wasn’t a dream... No... Why was this happening....
Marijn gasped for air as he opened his eyes. He tried to move but he was stuck against an icecold wall. Arms had wrapped themself around his arms, his legs and waist. The arms just came right out of the wall. He glanced around and saw how Ilyanain, Cadeamus, Blaire, Dorian, Samantha and even Robertio and Irene were in the same situation. Only they seemed to be having nightmares. Trying to move but without any result. He glanced around the dark room and saw a man writing something down at a table. The man was wearing black clothes and while his apearence was vague, Marijn knew who it was. Master Daniel... He slowly stood up and was about to walk away but spotted Marijn being awake. He pulled off his black hood and scarf and smiled “Well, well, well... Look who’s awake...” The man laughed shortly. “Offcourse, you can’t talk right now...” Daniel walked over to Marijn and pressed with an icecold finger his throat in. Marijn coudn’t breath, he desprately tried to gasp for air. “That should do it...” The man removed his finger and Marijn immediatly gasped for air and coughed loudly. Yet, with the coughs he could hear his own voice. “W-... What...” Marijn started. “What are you...” The man laughed “Not even gatefull for returning you’re voice to you?” Marijn tried to focus but was clearly having trouble to. “Why are you doing this...” The coudn’t help but share another laugh. “Why am I doing this... I found you people trying roaming around here and you expect me to just let you walk around?” The man smirked slightly. “What is all this?” The man supressed his clearly amused feelings and his face tightend up to stern and not emotionless. “This is my hide-out... And the ones you’ve met are my sons and daughters... And with your meeting, I think you folks provided perfect test subjects to my experiments... I beleive one of you, guards, already went insane.”
Marijn groaned slightly as he felt an upcoming urge to sleep. He shook his head and focused on the man infront of him who seemed to be writing some things down. The man snapped his finger and from underneath the table a being slowly emerged, it carefully grabbed the edges of the table before pulling itself out, it’s skin still rotting and his eyes missing, truely an awfull sight. “Vak, kama dir, von ser ket un lok a da.” he said, his voice twisted of demonic presence. The being slowly crawled up by grabbing his arm before taking the note and slowly crippeling away. Daniel glanced at Marijn again with his expressionless face. “It’s time for you to sleep.” He pointed his finger at Marijn and the same second Marijn could feel an incredible deep sleep coming up. He tried to fight it but after a few seconds he noticed it was futile. The last thing Marijn saw was one of the beings checking his face to see if he was already asleep, such awfull looking things they were.
Marijn glanced around, was he dreaming, or was it something else? Wherever he was right now, it was white all around him. He noticed how he was naked but didn’t seem to care. He felt how two heavy shackles apeared around his wrists. They weren’t there before, they just apeared from thin air. From the shackles slowly apeared a chain out of nothing untill they reached an invisible wall. The chains looked familiar, it was most likely the chains from the regiment cell. But how were they here. He felt how slowly a set of clothes apeared on his body. He glanced at them, they were regular prisoner clothes. Marijn glanced around and saw how infront of him boots and leggings apeared before slowly a whole man stood there. The man was wearing the whole set of guards armor, except for the regular helmet he wore one with a broom ontop of it. From his belt hung a large sword and on his back hung a largerer then normal shield. Marijn peered at the man, as he took of his helmet. It was himself. It was like watching in the mirror.
“Who are you?” Marijn asked. The guard smiled passively and inspected him. “My name is Commander Marijn Silverstorm...” He glanced to his side where a woman apeared in leather clothes. The regular blueish leather of the regiment along with the tabard. On her back two swords and her blond hair in a pony-tail. She trew a salute at the other guard as he saluted back. “Ahh there you are, Silversong.” The girl smiled faintly. “Sorry for being late sir!” The man shrugged slightly. “Don’t worry, anyway... What’s this man in for?” He pointed towards Marijn. “Ohh, he’s in for trespassing where he didn’t belong.” The man slowly nodded. “I see... Anything else?” The woman slowly rubbed the back of her head. “Well, there’s some more suspicions going around, but this is the only thing he’s really in here for.” The man nodded again. “Alright, thank you for the information, i’ll handle it from here.” The woman nodded and saluted before fading away into nothingness. Marijn could see his duplicate smile rather widely before fading away, along with the handcuffs around his wrists. He looked around as everything from before was gone except for the prison clothes he was wearing. He could smell the stence of dried blood, the metal like aroma that was printed into his brain ever since his childhood. He felt how an invisible force pushed him to his knee’s, and pulled his arms behind his back before he could feel the cold metal of the handcuffs apear around his wrists again. He glanced around the whiteness that was, where he was. He saw a familiar looking guard apear out of thin air, the same looking man from before, his identical duplicate. In his hands a long two handed broadsword, shining faintly against the white background. With a doubt in mind Marijn tried to move away from the man with the giant sword but felt how the invisible force kept him at place with ease. As his duplicate got closer he pulled his broom-shaped helmet off and grinned an ever so wicked grin.
His duplicate stopped infront of him, the giant sword resting on the white floor of the ever so wide white dimension in wich they now stood. The man smiled widely at Marijn before speaking, it’s voice seemingly more twisted then before. “I, Marijn Ves’kar Darkbane Silverstorm hereby sentence you to death... Any last words before I end you’re pathethic life?” Marijn frowned, what had happend in this twisted realm, they just said he only trespassed and now he was being sentenced to death? And what was with that weird last name, Ves’kar... Ves’kar, it sounded so familiar to his ears, yet so far away. His duplicate spoke again “No last words, I thaught so...” the man grabbed the hilt of the giant sword with both hands before lifting it from the snow-white ground. He placed it softly on Marijn’s neck before lifting it higher into the air. Marijn glanced a last dissapointed look at his duplicate before feeling the metal pierce trough his neck.
Marijn gasped for air and reached for his neck in pain and missbeleive. He felt how his neck was still intact and sighed in releive. So it was an illusion after all, yet he could feel the pain still echo trough the flesh in his neck. It was weird how the wound had faded away, yet the pain still resided in his neck. He shook the awfull feeling of him and concentraded on the area around him, where first it was only white he was now inside a small house with two frightend looking people and a small boy, around the age of four or five. Outside the house he could hear screams and he could see flames from nearby buildings, it seemed like the house was located in Stormwind, but there was an attack going on. He peered at the three who impatiently stared at the door. “I’m afraid honey...” The woman said. Marijn walked closer to the two and frowned. What kind of situation was this... The woman sighed sadly and stood up, dragging the kid along with her in haste. “Marijn, please hide back here...” The woman said. The kid soflty sobbed to his mother. Marijn walked over to the two and frowned. Was this kid... Himself? The kid soflty mumbled something before trying to hug the woman “Mama, stay with me!” the kid nearly cried out. Was that his mother? He kneeled down next to the woman and frowned. The woman quickly grabbed a small stuffed animal from the ground and pushed it in the kids hands before standing and glancing at the door in unease. Marijn peered at the stuffed animal, on it’s chest it had the name Marijn Ves’kar engraved onto it. Marijn groaned slightly before standing up again. He remembered how this situation ended from how he was a child, he knew precicely what would happen... Orcs would bash the door down before killing his mother and father... The man who was carefully looking trough the curtains walked back and sighed sadly. “They are coming...” the man said.
The two peered at the door as they heared some yelling outside before a hard bash on the door. The two nearly jumped back in shock. With another hard bash the door swinged open. Marijn glanced at the door but was quite suprised to what he saw. A tall man with a soflty glowing hammer walked trough the door. The man wore faintly glowing shoulderpads and the rest of his armour deemed as one set along with the rest. It was obvious this man was a true paladin and Marijn reconised the man as his old teacher, Jack Lionheart. Yet it didn’t make sence, he remembered how the man used to rescue him after his parents were both brutally murdered by orc scavages. “It is time to end this foolishness... I Jack Lionheart of the three righteous paladins hereby sentence both of you, Olivia Ves’kar and Jord Ves’kar, to death for practicing dark arts and mass murder.” Jack walked closer as the two slowly backed up. Along with him two dwarfs with the same looking outfit. Jack rose his hammer and bashed it down right into the side of the man called Jord. Followed by a quick bash to the head. The woman coudn’t stop her tears, they rolled down her cheecks and unto the corpse of her man. A air suddenly felt dense and Marijn could see how the shadows crawled around the woman.
Jack dropped his hammer and moved his hand infront of him before slowly back, a flash of light apearing around his fist. The shadows around the woman quickly started to spread towards the man, aiming to attack him but Jack dashed forward and within a second he bashed his glowing fist into the woman’s stomach. With a loud blast the woman flew back against the wall, the clothes around her stomach burned to ashes and a heavy burn wound in the shape of some sort of magical patern. Jack inhaled deeply as the light faded away around him. “Don’t you think you overdid it lad?” one of the dwarves questioned. Jack sighed “I did what had to be done Dolar... Both of them were a danger to Stormwind.”
The second of the two dwarves pointed to the kid who had been carefully watching behind a wall. “Oi, they had a kid...” Jack glanced at the kid and frowned. “Ahh you got to be kidding me... These two had a kid?” Jack rubbed the back of his head and frowned. “Yaron, could you erase the kids memory of this?” The dwarf nodded slightly “Very well lad, but what do you plan on doing with the kid, we going to drop him of at the Orphanage?” Jack shook his head slightly. “I’ll take care of the kid myself... He will not be held responsible for the many acts of horror his parents have commited... I’ll teach him to be a true paladin.” Yaron pulled the kid out of it’s hiding and placed his thumb between the kids two eyebrows. The kid stopped moving and just stood there, as if he had just died, all that kept him in place was the dwarf’s thumb.
After a few minutes the kid fell to the ground and Yaron let out a deep sigh. “He won’t be able to remember a thing of tonight.” Jack walked over to the kid and picked up the stuffed animal. “His name is Marijn... Odd name if you ask me...” The two dwarfs next to him nodded slightly. “It’s better for him to even forget his last name...” The dwarf nodded “Already took care of that, he forgot all about his last name and any relationship he might have had to his parrents.” Dolar frowned “Don’t you think we are being to harsh, erasing all of his memory’s?” Jack shook his head “It’s better for him to have never been related to them.” Marijn fell to his knee’s. Jack had lied to him... About his parents... They were shadow using murderers... Marijn rubbed his hands trough his hair as he saw the scene shatter to pieces before the white slowly returned. He rammed his fist into the white floor. His whole life he had been lied about by the only person he held dear in his past, the one that was like a dad for him, had murdered his real parents!
